Jet Open Golf Tournament 2015

Newman University will host the 31st Annual Laurie Bell Memorial Jet Open Charity Golf Tournament Aug. 1 and 3. The golf tournament is designed to raise funds for the Athletic Department, and gives Newman supporters an opportunity to come together and compete in a friendly game of golf.

It will start with a pre-golf party beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, in the Dugan-Gorges Conference Center on the Newman campus. The pre-golf party will consist of a social hour featuring cocktails and appetizers for participants and their guests, followed by the annual silent and live auctions. Auction items this year include sporting event tickets, trips and other great items. All are welcome at no charge.

The Jet Open tournament itself will be Monday, Aug. 3 at Rolling Hills Country Club. Registration will be held at 6:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., with a choice of a 7:30 a.m. or 12:30 p.m. shotgun start. Teams of four will compete to take the first place title. There will also be prizes on all par 3 holes.

An after-party and awards ceremony will take place at Emerson-Biggins West following the tournament.

The entry fee is $250 per person, which includes admission to Saturday’s kick-off party, Monday’s tournament lunch, driving range balls, golf cart, and refreshments and snacks on the course. Participants must register by Friday, July 31.
