Prayer Breakfast

Newman University Campus Ministry is hosting its annual Prayer Breakfast 7:30-8:45 a.m. Thursday, March 31, serving up fruit, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy and hash browns with coffee and orange juice.

This year’s theme is “Compassion in Action,” and during breakfast, four Newman University students will discuss compassion working in their own lives. Compassion was chosen because, in the Catholic Church, 2016 is the year of Mercy.

“We decided there is no better way to show mercy than through compassion,” said Monica Borger, administrative assistant of Campus Ministry. “We hope that the breakfast will provide a time for prayer, reflection and a sense of a compassionate Newman community.”

Performances by the Newman University Troubadours and student Nate Siple will also take place. The breakfast will conclude at 8:30 a.m. with a prayer from Chaplain Father John Fogliasso and a group song.

RSVP to Monica Borger at [email protected] for the Prayer Breakfast by Thursday, March 24.
