Newman University welcomes the 2011 “Camino al Futuro – Strengthening Latino Families”event back to campus this Saturday, March 12. For the second year this event will be held 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the Dugan-Gorges Conference Center at Newman University. More than 260 people have indicated they plan to attend the event.
The event will offer a workshop, “Helping Families Raise Successful Children,” as well as panel discussions and break out sessions on post-secondary education. The event is sponsored by Newman University and Pratt Community College in partnership with the City of Wichita, the Hispanic Women’s Network, and Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland.
