NU to host Silent Auction April 11

Newman University will host the 14th Annual Silent Auction on April 11 staged by Staff Assembly. The auction will take place from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Mabee Dining Center. The proceeds benefit the Staff Assembly Hearts & Hands fund. This fund was established to provide a monetary gift to staff members who may be in crisis or experiencing some particular difficulty in their lives. Continue reading

Newman University to host College Women’s Conference April 12

Nationally known speaker and founder of Made in His Image Maura Byrne will be the featured speaker at the College Women’s Conference to be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 12 in the Dugan-Gorges Conference Center in the Dugan Library and Campus Center on the Newman University campus. Newman to host LinkedIn workshop for students April 15

Newman invites all students to a LinkedIn workshop and social mixer on April 15. The workshop will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Tarcisia Roths ASC Alumni Center and will include an introductory presentation about LinkedIn by Apples and Arrows Chief Strategist Todd Ramsey. Following the presentation, a social mixer will be held where students will be able to chat with local area professionals and enjoy refreshments. Continue reading

Newman to host workshop for Professional Development Lunch and Learn Series April 17

On April 17, Newman will host the first of three workshops for the Professional Development Lunch and Learn Series. The workshop is entitled “Active Listening – Techniques for Enhancing Workplace Relationships.” The speaker for the event will be Deanna Polly-Faulkner of Shelter Insurance. The event will take place Thursday, April 17 at noon in the Tarcisia Roths ASC Alumni Center.
