On Saturday, Jan. 19 from 5 to 7 p.m., the Newman University Alumni Association will hold “Hoops and Soup” in the Tarcisia Roths, ASC Alumni Center. “It’s our version of a basketball game tailgate party,” said Ann Fox, director of alumni relations. “We wanted a way for fans to get involved in generating spirit between the women’s and men’s basketball games.” Read More…

Chemistry Alum Gets Paper Published

Renee Soukup-Hein, a 2002 Newman graduate, presented a undergraduate research project at the 2002 Kansas Academy of Science Meeting at Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kan. The paper from the presentation was published in the Kansas Academy of Science Abstracts through the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Texas at Arlington. Soukup-Hein attended graduate school and is expecting to finish her Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry this year. Read More…
