Those volunteers consisted of Newman University students, who wore bio hazard suits to battle the mold and Spirit AeroSystems employees, who provided countless hours of volunteer time. In fact, more than 140 volunteers worked more than 800 hours to make the home possible. They turned a forgotten house into a new home for a family trying to get back on their feet.

Newman University men’s basketball head coach Mark Potter recorded his 200th career victory after the Jets routed York College, 119-68 Saturday evening at Fugate Gymnasium. Potter is in just his 11th season and Newman is the only school at which he has coached collegiately.
