Campus Ministry will be hosting the annual Fall Service Retreat this weekend at Camp Tawakoni, just outside of Andover. The retreat will begin on Friday, Sept. 29 and will last until Sunday in the afternoon. Those participating will be helping with a food packaging event on Saturday, followed by Mass and Adoration and lots of fun.

Newman University student Peggy (Victoria) Frazier explained, “Everyone is welcome to come. Its’ not restricted to only Catholics. It’s about growing closer to God as a whole.”

Newman University Chaplain Fr. John Fogliasso said, “It’s an exciting opportunity for students to gather together in a service project while making great new friends. It’s all about fellowship, service, friendship, good food, an exciting weekend, and adventures. We are going to have some great board games and campfire fun also.”

Frazier included that her goal for the retreat is “for everybody to have a good experience with it whether or not they actually grow in their faith. But growing in your faith would be ideal.”

The cost is $5 per person which covers transportation, lodging and food for the weekend.  For more information contact, Monica Borger at [email protected] or stop by the Campus Ministry office located on the main floor of Sacred Heart Hall.
