Mmmmm – those are tasty Little Bits!

Bishop Gerber receives framed print of the new science building from Newman President Carrocci and Board Chair Linda Davison.

NU students, faculty and staff lined up Nov. 27 in Dugan Library to get a free taste of Little Bits Gourmet Cookies. The sampling of "The Tiny Cookie with the Big Taste" was courtesy of Newman alum Greg Cole '95, who created, bakes, packages and markets the cookies through the Good Life Company he founded in Wichita.

Newman alum Greg Cole '95 (in white cap) offers free samples of Little Bits Gourmet Cookies in Dugan Library Nov. 27. Helping Cole distribute cookies is NU Director of Alumni Relations Sarah Cundiff '86, '90.

The cookies are now available at the Newman Bookstore, and the Spice Merchant, Green Acres Food Market and Exploration Place, as well as locations in Missouri and Oklahoma. Cole said he is now working to secure an agreement that will place Little Bits in more than 100 Fresh Market supermarkets nationwide.

Cole will receive the 2013 Leon A. McNeill Distinguished Alumni Award at the Cardinal Newman Banquet Feb. 23, 2013.
