Newman Society luncheon honors donors

Jun 14, 2012

Members of the Newman Society gathered for a luncheon May 31 in the Tarcisia Roths, ASC Alumni Center on the Newman University campus. During the proceedings, 28 members were recognized for their support of the university with specially designed lapel pins.

The Newman Society is a giving society formed in 1993 for donors who make gifts to the university, primarily through estate giving. Gatherings of the society took a brief hiatus in the late 1990s to 2000, but activity has recently increased. The society now includes 52 charter members from the Renaissance fundraising campaign in the late 1990s, eight members from the Beyond the Renaissance campaign in 2000, and 21 members who have entered the society since 2000.

Membership in the society is open to anyone who provides for Newman University in his or her estate plan. For more information, call 316-942-4201, ext. 2174, or visit us on the Web.
