Nov 20, 2012

The Newman University Music Department will present its annual musical Christmas concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2. This year’s concert is entitled “Home for the Holidays.” Joining the Newman University Chorale and Troubadours as special guests is the Independent High School’s Chamber Choir under the direction of Matt Hanne.

“Take an hour out of the hustle and bustle and support these talented performers as we celebrate the Christmas season in song,” said Newman University Director of Music Deanne Zogleman. “It is a tradition for us to invite an outstanding high school choral group from the area and we are excited that Independent High School could join us this year.”

The performance will be staged in Performance Hall, inside the De Mattias Fine Arts Center on the Newman University campus. The cost is $5 per person. Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at the door. The box office will open at 2:15 p.m. and doors open at approximately 2:30 p.m. For more information visit the Campus Calendar.
