The results are in! Party on the Plaza 2016 raised more than $140,000 for student scholarships at Newman University.
More than 460 attendees came to the university’s biggest fundraiser in support of the Newman Fund. The money raised at the event is specifically designed to help make a quality education more affordable for deserving students from around the world.
The silent and live auction items were a big hit with the guests and helped bring in a large chunk of the money raised this year.
Vice President for University Advancement J.V. Johnston said, “Thanks to everyone for coming, all the volunteers — especially [Director of Athletics] Vic Trilli and his athletic teams for helping with the set up of the gymnasium.”
