Newman Fund Phonathon raises thousands for student scholarships

Nov 20, 2014
The Newman Fund Fall Phonathon has raised close to $12,000 to date to support student scholarships. The Phonathon, which began Oct. 28 and ran through Nov. 11, raised more than $11,000 in the nine nights it ran. Manager of Newman Fund Blaine Crouch said pledges and donations continued to come in after Nov. 11, and he expects more to arrive in the coming weeks, raising the total beyond the $12,000 mark.

As in previous phonathon events, students called alumni seeking support for the Fund, which helps raise money for student scholarships. Newman would like to thank its alumni for their generosity in the Fall Phonathon this year.
