On Aug. 5, Colene (Duesing) Kruse, shown at right, below, returned to the campus of what was once Sacred Heart College, the institution she graduated from in 1954. She was the first female lay person to earn a four-year degree from the college. Kruse was a classmate of Tarcisia Roths, ASC, at left, and five other ASC sisters. Together, they made up the SHC “Class of ’54.”
