Newman University nursing graduates rank high in exam scores, employment

Newman University is known for the high quality of its academic programs in nursing and the health sciences. Over the past five years, the pass rate for Newman University nursing graduates taking the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) has ranged from 95 percent to 98 percent – well above state and national averages for the same time period. Science, mathematics, nursing, and allied health alums – last call for Heimerman Hall Open House this Saturday, Feb. 8

Reminisce and visit with your favorite former professors, classmates and others who attended Newman when you were here. Meet faculty who taught at Newman in the past and other alumni. The NU Bookstore will be open until 6 p.m. to purchase NU memorabilia and clothes for you and your children. Also at 6 p.m. – listen to Newman President Noreen M. Carrocci, Ph.D., who will share great news about science education at Newman.

The event begins at 5 p.m., and includes free refreshments and a prized keepsake for alums. See you Saturday evening!

Biology, nursing, allied health, other science and mathematics alums invited to meet with favorite professors Feb. 8

On Feb. 8 Newman University alumni are invited to come visit with former professors and to reminisce with friends and fellow alums about class time memories, professional achievements, and catch up on the latest news. The NU Bookstore will be open until 6 p.m. for anyone to purchase Newman memorabilia and clothing. Newman President Noreen M. Newman University to hold Fall 2010 graduation activities Dec. 10-11

Newman University will hold the Fall 2010 Baccalaureate Mass and Commencement ceremony on Dec. 10 and Dec. 11, respectively. The university will also honor graduating nursing students, and will award honorary degrees to three distinguished members of the Wichita community.
