Volunteers needed for Kansas State Fair booth

Aug 22, 2013

On Sept. 6, Newman will set up a booth at the annual Kansas State Fair in Hutchinson, Kan. Volunteers are needed at the booth as there are multiple slots still open for any faculty, staff, or alum to help participate. The booth will be stationed in the Meadowlark Building during the fair Sept. 6-15. Volunteers will receive two entry passes to the fair and a small cash stipend for some snacks. Any alums helping out will receive an original-design t-shirt. Faculty and staff members will receive mileage reimbursement for one vehicle per shift for roundtrip between the Newman campus and Hutchinson.

Representatives of Newman will provide fair goers with information about the university, new programs, upcoming events, financial aid, admissions and other topics. Those who would like to volunteer may sign up through the eventbrite sign-up page. For more information, contact Sarah Cundiff at 316-942-4291, ext. 2166 or [email protected].
