Oct. 9-10 marks the start of this year’s “Mission Talks” at Newman. This year’s mission presentations are dedicated to the 20th Anniversary of the Liberian Martyrs (Barbara Ann Muttra, ASC; Mary Joel Kolmer, ASC; Shirley Kolmer, ASC; Kathleen McGuire, ASC; and Agnes Mueller, ASC). These five members of the ASC were murdered 20 years ago while performing mission work in Liberia. Join us as we listen to the talk entitled “Re-telling the Story of the Five Martyrs 20 Years Later” presented by Mildred Gross, ASC, who was provincial at the time of their martyrdom.
Talk times and locations:
- Noon on Oct. 9 in the Tarcisia Roths, ASC Alumni Center
- 7 p.m. on Oct. 10 in the Dugan-Gorges Conference Center
A complimentary lunch will be provided for the noon talk on Oct. 9 for the first 40 that RSVP.
