Taking a stand for something you believe in is good. Taking a stand for something you believe in, surrounded by hundreds of thousands of other people from across the globe who all share in this common belief, is powerful. Newman University students accompanied by NU Chaplain Father Fogliasso got to experience this at the annual March for Life in Washington D.C.
This was not the first march that many of the students had attended. Something about it keeps bringing them back, year after year. The March for Life provides the incredible opportunity to gather people into the center of our nation’s history, to make history. Every time I go, I am inspired by the passion, love, and determination of those who make the trek to D.C. to stand up for those who cannot stand, to be a voice for those who cannot speak.
The March, the largest of any other movement in American history, will definitely become a part of history books, and we have the opportunity to be a part of it! The March is truly a life-changing experience. So next year, fly up with the Newman group and experience it for yourself!
