Monday, April 13 marks the official Tuition Stop Day at Newman University – the day when tuition paid by students stops covering the cost of their education, and the remainder of the financial quarter is funded by Newman donors through numerous scholarships offered at Newman University.
Each year, alumni, the Adorers of the Blood of Christ, friends of the university, and other sponsors donate thousands of dollars so Newman can continue to keep its tuition competitive.
“I prefer to call it Joyful Jet Day, with a more positive connotation!” said Sarah Cundiff, director of Alumni Relations. “It’s a positive celebration; it shows our students that other people are willing to invest in them, and in our school and our community.”
