Newman University employees will see some new co-workers and colleagues around campus in the coming months, along with many familiar folks who are taking on new roles. Newman officials have announced the following job changes, promotions, new titles and new hires for the coming academic year:
Megan Rucker, B.S. is the new Director of Radiological Technologies.
Jeana Scott is now the Payroll and Budget Administrator.
Teresa Wilkerson, M.A. has been named Assistant Dean of Graduate and Adult Professional Studies.
Fr. Joseph Gile, S.T.D. has been named Dean of Graduate and Adult Professional Studies.
Joshua Papsdorf, Ph.D. has been named the Director of the Graduate Program in Theology.
The following changes are effective July 1, 2015:
Cheryl Golden, Ph.D. will be Professor of History and Director of International Studies.
Elaine Schmeidler will be Advanced Standing Coordinator.
Lori Steiner, Ph.D., will be Associate Professor of Mathematics and Director of Institutional Research.
The following changes are effective Aug. 1, 2015:
Cindy Louthan, Ed.D. will be Assistant Professor of Education and Director of the Elementary Education Program.
Mark Mannette, M.F.A. will be Associate Professor of Theatre and Director of Theatre.
The following changes are effective Aug. 15, 2015:
Susan Crane-Laracuente, Ph.D. will be Associate Professor of English.
Jill Fort, Ph.D., will be Associate Professor of Criminal Justice and Chair of the Social Sciences Division.
Megan Ginter will be Assistant Professor of the CRNA Program and the Assistant Director/Clinical Director of the CRNA Program.
Audrey Hane, Ph.D. will be Professor of Communications.
Larry Heck, Ph.D. will be Professor of Sociology and Assistant Undergraduate Dean.
Leslie Jensby, M.S.W. will be Assistant Clinical Professor of Social Work and Director of Field Practicum.
Carmen Stephens, M.S. will be Assistant Professor of Nursing.
The following new faculty will join Newman on Aug. 15, 2015:
Angelo Letizia, Ph.D. will be Assistant Professor of Graduate Education.
John Leveritt III will be Assistant Professor of Chemistry.
Kiley Hicks will be Assistant Professor of Biology.
Shoshana Wernick will be Assistant Professor of Psychology
Gary Wilkerson will be Instructor of Education.
Deana Veges will be Assistant Professor of Education and Coordinator of Distance Teacher Education Programs of Southeast Kansas.
Huachuan Wen, Ph.D. will be Assistant Professor of Education.
