Norm Jones has been named Vice President for Enrollment Management at Newman University, effective Aug. 1, 2015.

Carrocci, Ph.D. “He brings strong managerial, organizational and communication skills to the job, as well as a creative mind and a high level of energy. His knowledge of private higher education generally, and enrollment management specifically will take us to a new level in our recruitment and retention efforts.”
Jones comes to Newman with an extensive background in higher education enrollment and administration. He most recently served as Executive Dean and Chief Operation Officer at Southwest Colorado Community College in Durango and Mancos/Cortez, Colo. From 2011 to 2013, Jones was Vice President for Enrollment and Athletics at Delaware Valley University, Doylestown, Pa., and from 1996 to 2011 he served as Vice President for Enrollment and Marketing at Texas Lutheran University, Seguin, Texas.
Jones also served as Dean of Enrollment Services at Westminster College, Fulton, Mo., from 1993 to 1996, Dean of Admissions and Financial Planning at Wesleyan College, Macon, Ga., from 1984 to 1993, and Vice President and Dean of Admissions at the University of Charleston, Charleston, W.Va., from 1978 to 1982.
Prior to those positions, Jones was Dean of Admissions at Tusculum College, Greenville, Tenn., from l977 to l978, and Director of Admissions at Mercer University in Atlanta, Atlanta, Ga., from l974 to June l977.
Jones earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing/Management at the University of Tennessee, and a Master of Education degree at West Georgia University in Guidance and Counseling. He has served on boards and committees for many civic, educational and economic development organizations in Colorado, Georgia and Texas.
