Dan Giroux, a 1996 graduate of Newman University and prominent Wichita attorney, announced his candidacy today for the United States House of Representatives, seeking to represent the 4th Congressional District of Kansas.
Giroux is president of the Newman Booster Club, and co-founder of the Wichita Gladiator Dash, which raises funds for Newman Athletics. Giroux also serves on the board of the Center of Hope, Inc., a homeless prevention program sponsored by the Adorers of the Blood of Christ. Giroux’s father, Robert Giroux, Ph.D., was the president of Kansas Newman College from 1982 to 1989.
