For the past six years the Alumni Association Board of Directors, along with the Student Government Association and now the Student Alumni Board, has hosted the “Last Call for Graduates” which is an event for graduating seniors. The party has become a tradition that many graduating seniors look forward to and this year the celebration will be hosted for the December 2015 graduates and the Spring/Summer 2016 graduates.
This celebration was designed to be a last call for graduates to get together and enjoy a fun time together. Seniors will be able to have dinner and drinks with friends. Only those age 21 and over will be admitted to the event and individuals will be carded at the door.
A DJ, photo booth and prizes will be at the party to enjoy and participate in. The event is free, but Sarah Cundiff, director of alumni relations, wishes to relate to the graduates that, “You are among the newest Jets blazing trails and making your mark on the world. Like alumni before you, we invite you to consider giving back and paying it forward to the next generation of Jets.” It is suggested that this new generation of alumni consider donating $10 to the Newman Fund. One prize ticket will be handed out at the door, but with a donation of $10, the donor will receive two additional tickets for the prize drawings at the party.
The party will be held from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday, May 5 in the Tarcisia Roths Alumni Center which is located on the second floor of the Dugan Library. Dress is casual and the event is free to the graduates who RSVP to Cundiff at [email protected] no later than Friday, April 29.
Cundiff says on a closing note, “Congratulations Graduates! We wish you the very best always!”
