At 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, in the Dugan Gorges Conference Center, Newman University will host the annual Hesburgh Lecture. This year’s speaker is Professor of Biological Sciences Gary A. Lamberti, Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame.
The annual Hesburgh Lecture is co-sponsored by the Notre Dame Club of Wichita and Newman University.
Lamberti’s lecture is titled, “The Global Freshwater Crisis: Challenges and Solutions.” Lamberti’s research is primarily in river and wetland ecology, salmon biology, and invasive species. He teaches biostatistics, stream ecology, and restoration ecology and has published more than 150 scientific articles and has edited a book. Visit the event calendar for more on Lamberti.
