The weekend of October 22 and 23 will be packed with family fun for this year’s Family Weekend Festival. On Friday, Oct. 22, students, family and friends of Newman are welcome to enjoy games, rides, face painting, music, a petting zoo, pony rides and more. The event will be held from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. on Founders Plaza in front of the De Mattias Fine Arts Center. On Saturday, Oct. 23, “The Deal is Right” game show will be held at 8 p.m. in the Dugan-Gorges Conference Center. Contestants will have a chance to win more than $600 worth in prizes. Both of these events are free. Family Weekend Festival is about Fall, Family and Fun . . . after all, “F’s at school aren’t always a bad thing!”
