Don’t miss the Jets as they go into action Friday, March 4 at the Heartland Conference Basketball Championship Tournament, on the campus of St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas. Both the men’s and women’s teams are ready to bring home the titles. NU will host tournament watch parties for each of Friday’s games in the Tarcisia Roths, ASC Alumni Center.
The women’s basketball game begins at noon, and the men’s basketball begins at 7:30 p.m. Free pizza and drinks will be provided at the watch parties while they last.
The women’s team finished the regular season with a 19-7 overall record, and an 8-1 mark in Heartland Conference play. The Lady Jets have secured the top seed in the tournament. They take on St. Edward’s University (9-17) at noon.
The men’s team finished their season with a 15-11 overall record, and 7-5 in Heartland Conference play. They enter the championship tournament as the No. 3 seed. The men will face Texas A&M International (17-9) at 7:30 p.m.
