Newman University announced that several of its faculty members have been awarded academic tenure or received a promotion in faculty rank, all approved by the Newman University Board of Trustees.
Those receiving a promotion in faculty rank are:
- Jordan Bani, Ph.D., MMIS, MSM, to associate professor of business. One year of service at Newman University.
- Amelia Hopper MSN, RN, CNE®cl, to associate professor of nursing.
- Yelando Johnson, LMSW, MBA, to associate professor of social work. Six years of service at Newman University.
Faculty receiving a promotion in faculty rank and tenure are:
- Kristi Barton Edwards, J.D. to associate professor of criminal justice. Seven years of full-time service and thirteen years as an adjunct professor at Newman University.
- Nancy Lugo-Baez, DNP, RN, to associate professor of nursing. Seven years of service at Newman University.
- Melissa Romaneschi, DNP, MHCL, RN, associate professor of nursing. Seven years of service at Newman University.
