Close to 200 people attended the Dec. 3 reception hosted by Newman University to honor the Wichita Business Journal 2009 “Newsmakers.” The event, which took place in the Dugan-Gorges Conference Center on the Newman campus, recognized 12 people who have made a significant impact in the Wichita business community over the past year. It was the second time that Newman has partnered with the Business Journal to present the annual event. Among the outstanding business leaders honored was Newman alumnus and longtime supporter Tom Dondlinger, president of Dondlinger & Sons Inc. Construction. Other “Newsmakers” were:
