Many festive holiday happenings have taken place in the past few weeks at Newman, from Christmas tree decorating to a campus-wide service day.
As students and faculty close out finals week and staff members finish their final projects before break, we hope you enjoy a highlight reel of moments together — shared in holiday spirit.
Decorating the Christmas tree
Newman University staff members came together to decorate the Christmas tree in Dugan before Thanksgiving break.
Holiday podcast episode
In this holiday episode of The Newman Bond podcast, Director of Alumni Relations Dana Beitey shares a cheesecake recipe.The holiday cupcakes are decorated with things like Christmas trees, snowmen and more.
Alumni Christmas party
An alumni Christmas party was held in the Tarcisia Roths ASC Alumni Center, complete with a festive photo booth.As Christmas music played in the background, alumni played games, enjoyed cookies, hot cocoa and coloring sheets.Kiddos earned sweet treats during a cupcake walk at the alumni Christmas party.
Christmas concert
The Newman chorale and troubadours performed during their annual Christmas concert in the Performance Hall.As is tradition, the student chorale ended its Sunday performance by singing in the De Mattias Atrium together with attendees.
Campus-wide service Day
On Monday, Dec. 4, a campus-wide service day was held. In total, Newman students, faculty and staff:
Donated and signed 500 Christmas cards
Donated and labeled 109 pairs of gloves for The Lord’s Diner

Cleaned campus spaces
Entertained the ASC sisters with Christmas carols
