Newman University Director of Music Deanne Zogleman has been named artistic director for the Heart of America Men’s Chorus Tenth Anniversary Season. Zogleman is currently serving as guest conductor for the men’s chorus annual holiday concert, set for 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3 and 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4 in Performance Hall of the De Mattias Fine Arts Center on the Newman campus.
Zogleman is the first woman to be selected as a guest conductor and artistic director for the Heart of America Men’s Chorus. Founded in 2002, the chorus is made up of singers whose goal is the pursuit of excellence in men’s choral music. The group performs at many civic, philanthropic and private functions, and presents three unique concerts each year.
