Newman University exists for students, because of students.
In a continued effort to support academic success, the Student Success Center has welcomed 11 student peer tutors to its staff for the spring 2025 semester.
Peer tutors meet one-on-one with students and cover a range of subjects: nursing, pathophysiology, biology, chemistry, physics, algebra, calculus, math, writing, research and rhetoric.
Peer career coaches work directly out of the career services office, acting as the front line to help students with resumé reviews, mock interviews, job searches, navigating Handshake (an interactive jobs website for students and employers) and eventually building LinkedIn profiles.
Meet the peer tutors
Tutoring services are free and available for every Newman student, offered in-person by appointment or virtually 24/7. All students are encouraged to log into the Student Success Center scheduler, Accudemia, at https://newmanu.accudemia.net/login to schedule tutoring sessions and browse additional services. Students can also check out laptops from the front desk of the Student Success Center.
