Newman University faculty and staff are invited to be a part of “Don Your Denims for Kyle Day,” a city-wide jeans day. Participants are asked to donate at least $3 to wear their jeans to work. All of the proceeds from the day go to the Children’s Organ Transplant Association on behalf of Kyle Hicks, the 17-year-old Wichita boy who suffers from a severe skin disease. He has received much media coverage lately.
Here’s how it works – a donation box will be available in the Office of Human Resources, 202 Sacred Heart Hall, from July 30 to Aug. 1. Simply drop off your contribution in the box and wear your jeans on Thursday, July 31, in support of Kyle! Checks should be made payable to COTA with “in honor of Kyle Hicks” written in the memo.
You may also give online and learn more about Kyle and his disease, Epidermolysis Bullosa, at www.cotaforkyleh.com.
