The Steckline Gallery will present “Natural Frequencies” during a First Friday exhibition from 5-7 p.m. April 3 at Newman University.

“Natural Frequencies” is a female-led collaboration by artists Hannah Crickman, Tyra Grace, Alexis Gruenwald, Lindsey Kernodle, Kate King, Lindsay Lion Lord, Kinta Mcghee, Emily E. Ritter and Yulla Vega. It explores themes of wildlife, landscapes, environmental systems and the vastness of space through a variety of media.

Each artist approaches the subjects differently, but together their works share a common curiosity for the living world and humanity’s relationship to it — challenging viewers to observe, understand and care more deeply for the world around them.

“Natural Frequencies” will be on display April 2-24. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
