The founding and sponsoring order of Newman University, the Adorers of the Blood of Christ (ASC), was among those in the Wichita area honored Tuesday, Nov. 16. in the Kansas Women of Distinction program. The ASC sisters were recognized for their impact on Kansas, Newman and the Wichita community. The event, hosted by Dress for Success Wichita, provided a full reception and program led by Sierra Scott of It’s ALL Good! Productions and Mark Chamberlin of Armstrong Shank Advertising. The new Venue at Abode served as the location.
The ASC was submitted by Newman President Noreen M. Carrocci, Ph.D., and are highlighted in the event’s second annual tribute book honoring women living extraordinary lives and making contributions to family, friends and communities with compassion, sincerity and love.
Pictured in the tribute book are Tarcisia Roths, ASC, Vicki Bergkamp, ASC, and Barb Smith, ASC, as well as the late Sylvia Gorges, ASC, the late Julitta Elsen, ASC, and the late Stella Rosenhamer, ASC. Those attending the event with Carrocci included Sister Tarcisia, Sister Vicki, Charlotte Rohrbach, ASC, Marsha Wilson, ASC, JoAnn Mark, ASC and Newman Director of Communications Kelly Snedden. The tribute book will be available for viewing in the President’s Office until Dec. 23.
Proceeds from the sale of the tribute pages benefit Dress for Success Wichita, which provides professional attire, support and career development tools to help disadvantaged women thrive in work and life. Visit Dress for Success at www.dressforsuccess.org.
