Adorers of the Blood of Christ seek “Christmas Angels” for children in Tanzania

Oct 08, 2009

The ASC sisters operate the Village of Hope orphanage for children impacted by HIV/AIDs in Tanzania. They also operate a clinic and kindergarten for children of that region. This year, the sisters are seeking “Christmas Angels” who will have the opportunity to touch the life of one of these children. To be a Christmas Angel stop by the Newman University Bookstore or 326 Sacred Heart Hall to pick up a shoe box with information including the gender of your special child, instructions and suggestions on what to pack. Then, pack the shoe box with simple gifts, which will be shipped for arrival by Christmas in Tanzania. All boxes must be returned by Oct. 23. Student volunteers will do the shopping for those that want to help, but don’t have the time to shop. Call 942-4291, ext. 2308 or (316) 371-9415 for help with shopping. The project is sponsored by the ASC Community Leader Senior Project and the Koinonia Service Club.
