Jolinda Kelley, a graduate of Newman University, is taking on a new role at Wesley Medical Center as nurse navigator. No, she does not direct traffic in a nurse outfit – but she does help point people in the right direction.
Many people who visit Wesley Medical Center are under tremendous levels of stress and physical pain. Some have to face these challenges without friends or family and need help making sense of everything. Kelley’s role as a nurse navigator is to help facilitate and coordinate the various facets of health care with the patient before, during, and after the hospitalization.
