Clare (Sander) Vanderpool, ’87, will be the featured speaker at the Alumni Luncheon scheduled Tuesday, Nov. 9 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Dugan-Gorges Conference Center. Vanderpool, an English and elementary education double major recently published “Moon Over Manifest,” an historical fiction novel for middle-school readers. She will share the “story behind the story,” including her inspiration for the novel and lessons learned on the road to publication. While the presentation is free, participants may purchase their meal for $10 or bring their own.
