Area actors have been honing their craft this week at the Broadway Academy of Performing Arts camp at Newman University. It is the second overnight camp of the summer for the organization being hosted at the De Mattias Fine Arts Center.
For the participants the highlight of the week is Saturday’s performances of the play Once on This Island. There are two shows, at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m., Aug. 1, in the Jabara Flexible Theatre. Both performances are open to the public.
Tickets are available at the door; $5 for students, $10 for adults.
