It’s no secret that several species can be spotted throughout the year on the Newman University campus. Just ask head groundskeeper Darrin McKim.

Over the summer, a hawk parked itself near the St. John Henry Newman sculpture outside Sacred Heart Hall.

But earlier this week, the fox that frequents the area was seen even closer than usual — just south of the parking lot outside Beata Residence Hall.

Digital Community Specialist Jack Schafer quickly grabbed a camera and a 300mm long lens and returned to the fox’s spot for some glamour shots from a distance.
