Catholic high school students seeking a deeper connection with their faith will have the opportunity to experience campus life at Newman University’s Camp Campus Ministry this summer.
Scheduled for June 8-10, 2025, the three-day program invites rising high school sophomores, juniors and seniors to immerse themselves in a transformative experience of prayer, fellowship and personal growth.
Registration is $200, which covers lodging, meals and activities. The application deadline is May 2, 2025. Interested students can contact campusministry@newmanu.edu for more information.
Participants will explore what an integrated spiritual life looks like in a college setting and engage in faith-filled activities alongside peers from across the state.
The Wichita camp offers an enriching schedule that includes daily Mass, praise and worship adoration and opportunities to encounter Jesus Christ in both community and learning.
“This is an incredible opportunity for young Catholics to grow in their faith, build lasting friendships and experience college life in a supportive and spiritually enriching environment,” said Nika Sykes, administrative assistant for mission integration.
Schedule
The camp experience begins Sunday, June 8, with a welcome and check-in, followed by a s’mores social and a night prayer session with Metanoia, Newman’s faith-based community based in Beatta Hall.
Monday’s agenda focuses on faith development through engaging discussions and worship, culminating in a powerful praise and worship adoration.
The camp concludes Tuesday, June 10, with closing reflections, a final Mass and a celebratory lunch featuring a send-off from Newman University President Kathleen Jagger, Ph.D., MPH.
For students looking to strengthen their faith while making memories, Camp Campus Ministry at Newman University offers an experience unlike any other.
