Newman University President Noreen M. Carrocci, Ph.D. recently returned from a trip to Israel, where she was among a group of 12 Midwestern university presidents invited to travel to the area to learn about Israeli life, culture, and higher education. The trip was sponsored by the Consulate General of Israel to the Midwest. During her visit, the president posted a blog describing her activities. Read the blog to learn more about her experiences as she visited universities and research institutes, the Center for Holocaust Research and Education, the “old city” of Jerusalem, the Sea of Galilee and other sites in the Holy Land.
“It was truly an amazing experience, almost more than I could absorb at the time,” Carrocci said. “I feel blessed to have visited such historic and important places, and to have met so many wonderful people.”
