In honor of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, the Office of Campus Ministry is hosting an Ecumenical Prayer Service in St. John’s Chapel, Sacred Heart Hall at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 27. The public is invited to join the Newman community in worshiping with one voice and to pray for unity all of our brothers and sisters in Christ.
This year’s prayer service will consist of an arrangement of Psalms, other Scripture readings and selected readings from Blessed John Henry Cardinal Newman to highlight his thoughts on the formation of the human person and the ecumenical movement.
Newman classes will be shortened for the event. The adjusted class times are 8-8:50 a.m., 9-9:50 a.m., and 10-10:50 a.m.
