Jet PreCheck 2026

The season opener of orientation experiences for first-time students happens this Thursday, April 30, 2026.

This new series format helps Newman address the trends in increasing enrollment and high parent involvement. Given the new design, our newest students will experience higher levels of individualized customer service and self-service opportunities.

Jet PreCheck will be an all day event, 9:00-5:00 and will be in DeMattias Hall as well as offices and spaces on second floor of Sacred Heart Hall. Students and their guests have registered for one of the available dates and for one of three time ranges suited to their needs. Students will engage in individualized advising session regarding their new schedules seen for the first time on Thursday. All faculty and staff are welcomed to come interact with students and parents and observe the event. Advisors with advisee responsibilities will have been contacted by schedulers creating the appointments. Future Jet PreCheck dates are: June 11, 2026, July 9, 2026, August 20, 2026. Newman’s full blown traditional New Student Orientation will be on Saturday August 22, 2026 and will be focused on social connections and school pride.
