This September, join the Wichita community at Newman University’s Party on the Plaza and discover a unique fundraising event right here in the heart of our city. This year we are heading to the race track for a Party on the Plaza: A Day at the Races. So find your best hat, be ready to sip a mint julip and lets raise some money for student scholarships! This event includes a fun-filled night of delicious food and drinks, games, unique auction items and spectacular entertainment.

The Order of the Night – September 26, 2026

4:00 p.m. – Mass in St. John’s Chapel (optional)

5:00 p.m. – Festivities begin on Founders Plaza

Drink, mingle, games, peruse the silent auction

6:30 p.m. – Dinner

7:30 p.m. – Live auction

Party on the Plaza is more than just food, drinks and fun. It is about living out the Newman mission and truly transforming society.
