Newman University’s 2012 Homecoming King and Queen were announced Saturday, Feb. 18, during the men’s home basketball game. Christina Farid, a native of Wichita, was crowned queen. She is studying biology and her passions are soccer and science. After graduation Farid plans to attend medical school. Irving Casiano, of Senath, Mo., was crowned king. He is a math major and is an active member of Hispanic American Leadership Club.
