Newman University Campus Activities Board (CAB) put on its annual Breakfast and Bingo again this year and many students walked away with prizes.
CAB is a student life, student-facilitated organization that hosts events on campus all year long. Breakfast and Bingo is held biannually at the end of both fall and spring semesters. This semester, prizes included raffle baskets, an iPad mini and a 32” TV.
“Breakfast and Bingo is by far one of CAB’s favorite events to put on,” junior and CAB member Christina Scherer said. “This semester’s B&B shows how, time
and time again, this popular NU tradition is enjoyed and appreciated by all NU students and faculty. We had an amazing student turnout and I can’t wait for next semester”
According to Dean of Students Levi Esses, 175 students attended the event, which was also preceded by the Newman University Sloppy Joe Improv Troupe. Attendees of the Sloppy Joe show received an early entry ticket to Breakfast and Bingo to secure a good seat and a plate of hot breakfast provided by Mabee Dining Center, served by Newman Vice President for University Advancement J.V. Johnston, Director of Athletics and Vice President for Student Services Vic Trilli, Chaplain Fr. John Fogliasso and Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs Rosemary Niedens.
