Former baseball coach and Newman University legend Paul Sanagorski will join the Wichita Wingnuts as their third hitting coach since the team launched in 2008.
Sanagorski came to Newman University in 1978 and developed the baseball program. He coached at the university for the next 23 seasons until leaving to work as a hitting coach in the minor leagues. His 766-291 record and his rank at No. 11 in all-time victories among NAIA coaches have made Sanagorski a favorite among Newman University athletes and alumni. He was also one of the first inductees to the Newman University Athletics Hall of Fame.
