Newman University senior and soccer player Kevin Crafton found a unique way to propose to his girlfriend Rachael Schoonover on Saturday, Oct. 17 before the men’s game against Texas-Permian Basin.
Crafton set up a fake raffle for a game ball to take place before the game so that his girlfriend would have the winning ticket. To her surprise, however, it wasn’t just any soccer ball. The ball had the words “Will you marry me?” painted on it. Crafton proposed and Schoonover said yes.
