Tickets are now available for “The Miracle of Father Kapaun,” a play based on the original story written for The Wichita Eagle by Roy Wenzl, that will be presented Friday, Aug. 13 and Saturday, Aug. 14 at Newman University.
The play, a readers theatre presentation by The Vagabond Players of Wichita, will feature a reception following Friday’s performance with members of the cast and Chase Kear and his family, who attribute Chase’s recovery from a severe head injury to their prayers to Fr. Kapaun. The Saturday performance will feature a dinner with guest speakers Roy Wenzl and Joe Davison, M.D., Chase Kear’s physician. Proceeds from both evenings will benefit Newman University Fine Arts and provide support for the university’s theatre program. Click here for complete details and ticket information.
