It’s game on for Newman Giving Day Feb. 26

Giving Day 2025

For 24 hours on Feb. 26, Newman University Jets will come together in support of the university by giving back to the areas of campus that matter most to them.

The theme for the 6th Annual Giving Day is “Together We Give, Together We Grow,” with $24,600 in pledges to match donations dollar for dollar.

“There are lots of ways people can spend their money and many organizations to donate to, but choosing to support Newman is an investment in the future unlike any other,” Director of Annual Giving Laura Hartley said. “You get to be a silent contributor to someone else’s story, helping them accomplish their goals and I think that is a pretty amazing thing.”

Hartley said one of the biggest goals for the 2025 Giving Day is to hit the milestone of 300 donors, and there are plenty of opportunities to not only give big but also win big.

At an annual ceremony, the lab coats are awarded to students to recognize their hard work and scholarly achievements. The coats have a Newman University logo and are personalized with the student’s name, serving as a tangible reminder of their Newman education as they enter the field. Gifts will be matched up to $1,000.
