An opening reception for “Hidden War of Afghanistan,” an exhibition of works by award-winning photographer Gloriann Liu, will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25 in the Steckline Gallery.The reception is part of Final Friday, a monthly gallery, museum and local business crawl featuring various art exhibitions. “Hidden War of Afghanistan” will run through Oct. 23. An “Art for Lunch” presentation will be held from noon to 1 p.m, Sept. 29 at the gallery, where Liu will answer questions about her work. The presentation is free and open to the public, with a box lunch available to the first 20 guests. Liu is the 2008 first-place winner of The Art of Photography Show, and Black & White Magazine‘s 2007 gold medal-winner. For more information, visit the Steckline Gallery.
